Description:
 Trees were uprooted and buildings damaged on the Bob Nerat property on R-1 Drive in Menominee Township July 9. About 1.5 inches of rain fell in less than a half hour. The storm struck from about 2-1/2 miles south of G-08 to Menominee. The wind and rain were accompanied by nickel-size hail and some field corn and garden crops were flattened. Nerat said he was in a building with a metal roof when the hail storm hit and he had to block his ears. The storm also caused a power outage.
