Description:

Jerry Rasner, left, vice president of Stephenson High School's Class of 1966, recently presented a check for $3,055 to Steve Paliewicz, superintendent of Stephenson Area Public School. The class established the '66 Scholarship Fund in 1996 at a reunion. Over $16,000 in donations have come into the fund and $4,500 in scholarships have been awarded. Rasner expressed thanks to class members for supporting the scholarship program. He noted that other classes and individuals have started similar programs and he hoped this trend would continue. "It's great to see our current students benefit from the thoughtfulness of the alumni," he said.
