Description:
At about 8:15 a.m. Nov. 30, area law enforcement agencies responded to the report of a bomb threat at Stephenson High School. The threat was written on a bathroom wall. The school enacted its lock down procedures, which included students remaining in their classrooms and out of hall ways as a pre-cautionary measure. After an initial search, students were moved - class by class - into the multi-purpose and band rooms. Bomb-sniffing dogs from two law enforcement agencies were brought in to complete the search. At 2 p.m., the school was determined safe. Students were released to parents upon request and escorted out of the building. Remaining students were dismissed per normal pro-cedure at the end of the day.
