Description:
Bob Plutchak, a resident at Roubal Care and Rehab Center, Stephenson, holds a flag sent to him by United States Senator John Kerry, Massachusetts. The  flag had flown over the nation's capital. Plutchak, a World War II veteran, asked if the flag could be raised on the facility flag pole so he could see it blow in the wind. In addition to the flag, Plutchak received U.S. Army Air Corps awards and medals earned during the war.
