Jacob Michael Brault, 26, 401 5th Street, Menominee, died unexpectedly Aug. 28, 2010.

He was born in Marinette, June 13, 1984, to Jenny Brault and Darold Lemire. He graduated from Menominee High School in 2003. He was employed as a fork lift operator at KK Integrated Logistics. Jacob loved sports, especially the Green Bay Packers. He also loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his son, Brady.

He is survived by his parents, both of Menominee; son, Brady, at home; two sisters, Amy (Bill) Seefeldt, Oconto, and Brandy (Jason Smith) Kropp, Marinette; one brother, Brandon Lemire, Menominee, grandparents, Warren Nelson (Roseanne Boettcher) and Harold and Connie Lemire, uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by a brother, Chad Nelson; and grandmother, Judith Nelson.

Family and friends may call Sept. 1, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Anderson Kell Funeral Home, Menominee. Funeral Services will be held at 7 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be Thursday morning Sept. 2, in Riverside Cemetery, Menominee.

Lorraine Marie Carlson, 81, Wallace, died Aug. 30, 2010, in Green Bay.

She was born Jan. 15, 1929, in Stephenson, to the late Raymond and Cecelia (Bruso) Parrett. On June 15, 1946, she married Alfred Schultz. He preceded her in death Jan. 17, 2004. She then married Daniel Carlson Aug. 10, 2006, in Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Menominee. Lorraine was a homemaker and in her earlier years farmed with her husband Al, and worked as a nurse's aid at Pinecrest. She loved to sew, cook and travel. She was a member of Precious Blood Church and American Legion Auxiliary.

She is survived by her husband, Dan, Wallace; two daughters, Lynann (Dan) Bayerl, and Barb (Jim) Kuntze; three sons, Gary (Cathy) Schultz, Rick (Ann) Schultz, and Terry (Sandy) Schultz; daughter-in-law, Virginia Schultz; 15 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; three step-sons, Bryan (Sally) Carlson, Duane (Denise) Carlson, and Dan (Yun) Carlson; eight step-grandchildren, and one great-step-grandchild. She was preceded in death by one brother, two step-brothers, one step-sister; son, Robert; and grandson, Jesse.

Visitation will be Sept. 1, at the Anderson Diehm Funeral Home, Stephenson, from 4 to 5:45 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 6 p.m. at the Precious Blood Church. Father Corey Litzner officiating. Entombment will be Sept. 2 at 11 a.m. in Holy Cross Mausoleum.

Lester G. Duescher, 84, Marinette, died Aug. 29, 2010, at Rennes Health Center West, Peshtigo.

He was born July 12, 1926, in Marinette, to Emil and Mathilda (Wagner) Duescher. Lester spent his early life in the Town of Grover, attending schools there and in Peshtigo. He was a veteran of WWII, serving in the United States Army. He had been employed for many years at the Lauerman Brothers Store in Marinette, working in various depart ments. He later worked at CJ's Outlet Store in Marinette. His grandchil dren were his pride and joy. Lester loved the Chicago Bears. He married Lois Kuhlman May 31, 1947. She preceded him in death Oct. 25, 1965. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Marinette.

He is survived by one daughter, Robin Chouinard (Tom Buske), Menominee; two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; and one brother, Gerhardt (Colleen) Duescher, Florida. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Harold Duescher, Ellen Brown, Arlene Schonfeld and Rueben Duescher.

Friends may call at Hansen Onion Martell Funeral Home, Marinette, after 3 p.m. Sept. 2. Funeral Services will be held at 5 p.m. in the funeral home. The Rev. Jeffrey Teeple will officiate. Burial will be in Forest Home Cemetery.

Jeanette Marie Fadroski, 89, Nadeau, died Aug. 23, 2010, at her daughter's home in Rapid River.

Jeanette DeMelle was born April 28, 1921, in Hermansville, to the late Alfonse and Ann (Bellmore) DeMelle. Her father died when she was three years old. Her mother later married Arthur Morreau who became her father. On March 1, 1938, she married Antone Fadroski in Perkins, MI. He preceded her in death May 8, 1982. She was an avid homemaker who enjoyed cooking and gardening. She was a past member of the card club, bowling club and golf league. She loved going to the Carney-Nadeau American Legion for coffee with her friends. Spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought her the greatest joy. Jeanette was a member of St. Bruno's Catholic Church where she was active in St. Anne's Society, Carney-Nadeau Lions Club to whom she donated the land for Fadroski Lions Club Park, and the Red Hat Society.

She is survived by three daughters, Yvonne Locher, Patti (Michael) Cass and Cindy (Keith) Brannstrom; two sons, Anthony and Roy (Annette), 17 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Virginia Ford and Ann Brixous; and two brothers, Harold DeMelle and Arthur Morreau. She was preceded in death by her son, Steven; grandson, Danny Fadroski; son-in-law, Fred Locher; and brother, Raymond DeMelle.

Family and friends may call at Anderson Diehm Funeral Home, Stephenson, Aug. 27, from 3:30 until 8 p.m. CST, with prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will continue Aug. 28 at St. Bruno's Catholic Church, Nadeau, from 10 a.m. until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., with Father Michael Vichich officiating. Burial will follow in Nadeau Township Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established in Jeanette's name.

Arlene Helen Labre, 91, Powers, died Aug. 27, 2010, at Pinecrest Medical Care fa cility.

She was born in Wilson, April 9, 1919, the daughter of the late Jesse and Exena (Nault) Bellefeuil. She grew up and worked on the Bellefeuil farm, and attended school in Wilson. On April 17, 1940, she married Philip Labre at St. Francis Xavier Church in Spalding. They raised their three sons and owned and operated Labre's Store in Spalding, a combination grocery and appliance store for approximately 40 years. Following Philip's retirement, Arlene continued working in the store for her son, P. Leo and later the Fazer family. Philip and Arlene enjoyed travels during their retirement. Her hobbies included bowling, sewing, quilting, gardening, hosting and at tending family functions. She was a member of the St. Anne's Society of the St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Spalding.

She is survived by her two sons, P. Leo (Joyce) and Thomas (Amy) Labre both of Spalding; two brothers, Norbert (Casarina) Bellefeuil, Wilson, and Raymond (Mary Jane) Bellefeuil, Escanaba; one sister, June (Edmund) Bouty, Spalding; daughter-in-law, JoAnne Labre, Racine, 14 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Philip in 1993; son, John E. Labre, April 7, 2009; grandson, Ronald, April of 1984; two sisters, Mae (James) Sloan; Joyce (Willard) Bero; and three brothers, Harvey (Cathleen) Bellefeuil, Kenneth Bellefeuil, and William Bellefeuil.

Friends called at St. John Neumann Church, Spalding. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated there Aug. 31, with Fr. Michael Vichich officiating. Burial was in the Spalding Township Cemetery. Darlene Marian Nichols, 71, Wallace, died Aug. 29, 2010, at Bay Area Medical Center.

Darlene Kruse was born April 11, 1939, in Elmhurst, IL, to the late Elmer and Marian (Ellerbruch) Kruse, Sr. On June 30, 1957, she married David Nochols, Sr., in Antioch, IL. She enjoyed sewing, traveling out West, and her cats. She was a member of Gethsemane Lutheran Church where she sang in the choir.

She is survived by her husband, Wallace; daughter, Marianne (Mike) Duffrin, Stephenson; two sons, David, Jr., (Tammy), and Bob, both of Wallace, two granddaughters, two sisters, and two brothers.

Visitation will be held Sept. 1, Anderson Diehm Funeral Home from 4 p.m. until time of Funeral Service at 6 p.m. Reverend John Schmidt officiating.

Donald F. Shannon, 80, W4084 County Road 388, Powers, died at his home Aug. 24, 2010.

He was born in Escanaba Oct. 20, 1929, the son of Irving and Elizabeth (Beatson) Shannon. He served in the Navy during the Korean Conflict from 1950 until his honorable discharge in 1954. He was a member of the American Legion. He was employed with the Michigan State Highway Department and owned his own business, Shannon's Pub, for a number of years. He then worked as a dry kiln operator at Cedar River Lumber until his retirement. Following his retirement, he served as president of the Village of Powers until his death. He was an avid sports fan and member of St. John Neumann Church.

He is survived by his children, Kelly Elizabeth Shannon, Lansing, Kimberly Ann Shannon, Powers, and Michael Shannon, Powers; three grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren; sister, Patricia Dean, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Maureen Smith and Betty Shannon.

Visitation and funeral were held Aug. 27 at St. John Neumann Church in Spalding, with Rev. Michael Vichich officiating. Online condolences may be expressed at crawfordfuneralhomes.net The Crawford Funeral Homes assisted the family.

Susan (Lindsay) Stephenson, died Aug. 25, 2010, at Bay Area Medical Center after a short, unexpected illness.

She was born Sept. 30, 1933, in Escanaba. Her parents were Harold and Merle Lindsay. Susan grew up in Escanaba. She graduated from Escanaba High School, Class of 1951. She attended Lake Forest College in Illinois for two years. Later she worked for Harris Trust in Chicago. She also spent a summer as a waitress in a tea shop on Mackinac Island. On Nov. 26, 1966, she married Captain I.W. Stephenson III in Escanaba. He preceded her in death in February of 2010. They had one child, Isaac IV, born in 1971. She loved golf. She was a member of Riverside Country Club and North Shore Golf Club. She enjoyed bridge, and watching the Green Bay Packers.

She is survived by one son, Isaac (Jennifer), Cameron, NC; sisters, Martha, Escanaba, and Joan, Fort Atkinson, WI. She was preceded in death by her husband.

Funeral services were held at the Cadieu Thielen Funeral Home Aug. 28. The Rev. Phil Tousley officiated. Burial was in the Forest Home Cemetery, Marinette. A memorial fund has been established in Susan's name for the Menominee Animal Shelter.

Marilyn J. Swacker, 60, Menominee, died Aug. 26, 2010, at the Aurora Clinic in Marinette.

She was born Aug. 2, 1950, to the late Jack and Evelyn (Polege) Leonhardt in Marshfield. She graduated from Stratford High School in 1969. On Nov. 28, 1970, she married Roger Swacker at St. Joseph's Church in Stratford. She had worked at Emerson for 23 years. After they closed, Marilyn when back to school and obtained her degree in cosmetology. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles and loved to be around people.

She is survived by her husband; a son, T.J. (Michelle) Swacker, Marinette; four brothers, Bob (Nettie Nayes) Leonhardt, Stratford, Jim (Kris) Leonhardt, Owen, Jerry (Carolyn) Leonhardt, Spencer, and Dick (Marilyn) Leonhardt, Stratford; a sister, Barb (Jeff) Renninger, Lititz, PA; a brother-in-law, John Becker, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Jackie (Theresa) Leonhardt, Margie (Dave) Frane, Rita (Earl) Eisenberg, MaryAnn (Chuck) Drexler, Judy Becker; sister-in-law, Carol A. Leonhardt; and an infant brother, William Leonhardt.

Friends called Aug. 29 at Cadieu Thielen Funeral Home where funeral services were held with Deacon Vince Beckley officiating. Additional visitation and Funeral Mass was held Aug. 31 at St. Joseph's Church in Stratford. Burial was in St. Adalbert's Cemetery.
