Wayne E. Laurent, 62, Wallace, died May 23, 2010.

He was born June 17, 1947, in Menominee, to the late Charles and Silvia (Hanna) Laurent.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Jo, Wallace; children, Marc (Colleen) Laurent, Menominee, Becky (Brock) Bauer, Menomonee Falls, Chad Laurent, Menominee, Tammy (Tim) Swikert, Menomonee Falls; six grandchildren; sister, Martha (Dan) Rice, Marquette; brother, Frank (Beth) Laurent, Brookfield; sister-in-law, Donna Laurent, Menominee; brother-in-law, Dave (Diane) Stefanec, Hartland; his favorite girls, Flair and KT; nieces, nephews, rela tives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Edward.

In honor of Wayne's wishes, no services were held. Proko Wall Funeral Home assisted the family.

Kelvin Jay Motsinger, 9, Menominee, died May 29, 2010, at Bay Area Medical Center as the result of a drowning accident in Marinette.
Friends may call at Hansen Onion Martell Funeral Home, Marinette, after 5 p.m. June 4. Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. in the funeral home.

Don R. Sorensen, died at home May 29, 2010, after a long battle with Alzheimer's.

He was born in Menominee Nov. 11, 1933, to William F. and Margaret S. Sorensen.
He attended Washington Grade School and graduated from Menominee High School Class of 1952. He attended Carroll College and graduated in 1956. Don was a member of Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was an Eagle Scout and member of the Order of the Arrow.
Don married Mary Ellen Faucett Aug. 16, 1957. He returned to Menominee and went into business with his older brother, Howard, operating Automotive Products Company and Air Cooled Engines in Menominee, Marinette and Oconto. He then established McCarthy-Sorensen Athletic, Inc. and ran MSA until his retirement in 2008. He and his family were members of Riverside Country Club. He was a member of the Menominee Elks Club, St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Marinette and American Legion Post 146. He served on the boards of directors for Commercial Bank, Menominee, First of America Bank, Menominee and Marquette, and The Stephenson National Bank & Trust, Marinette until his retirement in 2007. He enjoyed being with family and friends and especially enjoyed spending time at his cottage in Cedar River.

He is survived by his wife; children, Fritz (Gena), Sue (Eric) Crave and Sally (Steve) Lovell; special son, MSgt. Dann Rogers, U.S. Army and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Wilda; and brother, Howard.

Services will be held June 5, at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Marinette. Visitation will take place from 10 a.m. to noon with the funeral starting at noon. Reception following at the home of Eric and Sue Craver, 2315 Riverside Ave., Marinette.
Memorials may be sent to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America or to St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Don's name.
