Carolyn K. Schuster, 43, 1401 North 23rd St., Escanaba, died Oct. 15, 2009, at Marquette General Hospital following a brief illness.

She was born Oct. 25, 1965, in Escanaba, daughter of Richard and Carol (Arntzen) Freeman.

She was raised in Escanaba and graduated from the Escanaba Senior High School. She continued her education at Bay de Noc Community College where she received her degree as a dental assistant. On Sept. 19, 2008, she married Peter Schuster. They made their home in Escanaba. Throughout her life Carolyn was employed as a dental assistant. She enjoyed cooking and going to camp.

She is survived by her husband; two brothers, Richard (Tina) Freeman, Lansing, Robert (Mel) Freeman, Norway; sister, Linda (Tim) Lanto, Columbus, OH, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Jim.

Carolyn's family will receive friends Oct. 24, from 1 to 5 p.m., at the Skradski-Boyce Funeral Home, Escanaba. Funeral services will be conducted at 5 p.m. at the funeral home, with luncheon to follow at the Ford River Pub.

Dennis E. Parrett, 63, Stephenson, died at home Oct. 18, 2009, as the result of an apparent heart attack.

Dennis was born Sept. 3, 1946, in Daggett, to the late Herbert and Mary (Tessmer) Parrett.

On June 26, 1965, he married Bonnie Beaudry at Precious Blood Catholic Church, Stephenson. He was currently employed by Kakuk Construction as a machine operator. He enjoyed going to auctions, watching the Green Bay Packers and going to the woods where he enjoyed logging and hunting with his boys. His grandchildren brought him the most joy.

He is survived by his wife; daughter, Tracie (James) Peterson, Menominee; two sons, Steve (Deborah), Gladstone, and Jason (Jessica), Merrill, WI, 11 grandchildren; brother, Wayne (Shirley), Stephenson; sister, Beverlee (Roger) Dupuis, Menominee, nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may call Oct. 22 at Anderson Diehm Funeral Home, Stephenson, from 3 p.m. until time of funeral service at 7 p.m. with the Rev. Jim Mathews officiating.
Burial will be in Stephenson Township Cemetery at 9 a.m. Oct. 23.

Bettie G. Norbury, 85, Watertown, WI, died Oct. 15, 2009, at Clearview Nursing Home in Juneau, WI.

Bettie Grace Loberger was born in Marinette April 1, 1924, daughter of Casper and Lillian (Bohan) Loberger.

She graduated from Stephenson High School in 1942 and attended one year at MATC in Waukesha in the dietary program. On Feb. 23, 1946, she married Theron (Slim) T. Norbury at St. Bruno's Catholic Church in Nadaeu. He preceded her in death Jan. 14, 1995.

Bettie had been employed as a cook at Concord Grade School, head cook at the former Welbourne Hall in Watertown, at Marquardt Memorial Manor in Watertown, the Watertown Country Club, the former Green Bowl Supper Club in Watertown and the Johnson Creek High School.

She was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church in Watertown and the Catholic Women's Club. She was also a member of the Watertown Silver Creek Riders Snowmobile Club, HCE Homemakers Club, New Beginning, Saturday Club, Watertown Moose Lodge No. 830, the Walk and Rollers Club, the Watertown Garden Club, the Watertown Campers and, being an amateur radio operator of the Watertown Radio Club and the Rock River Radio Club. She served on various boards and committees in each of these organizations and was a volunteer at the Watertown Memorial Hospital. She enjoyed ceramics, cooking and reading.

She is survived by her son, Timothy T. Norbury, Watertown; a sister, Arvella Weitz, Virginia; a sister-in-law, Mary Loberger, Kenosha, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Robert Loberger.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held Oct. 20 at St. Henry Catholic Church, Watertown, with Father Brian Wilk presiding.
Burial was in the parish cemetery.

Jerome J. Miller, 91, Marinette, died Oct. 12, 2009, at the Luther Home.

He was born Aug. 21, 1918, to the late George J. and Odile (Everard) Miller in Menominee.

Jerome graduated from Menominee High School in 1936. He married Maude Richards June 21, 1943, at St. Joseph's Church in Marinette. She preceded him in death in 1986. He worked as a truck mechanic at Shaver's Garage, and then as an auto mechanic at Stan and Ed's Auto Dealership. He worked as an instructor at NWTC for 16 years until retiring in 1983.

On June 23, 1989, he married Joan Kloida at Our Lady of Lourdes Church. He was a member of Holy Family Parish and the Men's Club. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and going to vintage car shows.

He is survived by his wife, Joan; two sons, David (Shirley) Miller, Marinette, and Douglas C. (Sue) Miller, Waterloo; two daughters, Cynthia J. (Don) Mudrak and Christine (Dan) Heroux, both of Peshtigo; a step-son, John (Theresa) Kloida, Marinette; two step-daughters, Lynn (Jim) Berger, Cedar River, and Barbara (Steve) Dausey, South Carolina; a brother, Richard E. (Joyce) Miller, Menominee; eight grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and two step-great-grandchildren.

In addition to his first wife he was preceded in death by two brothers, Raymond and George; and two sisters, Florence and Luella.
Visitation and funeral were held Oct. 15, at Holy Family Parish-Our Lady of Lourdes Church, with Rev. Joseph Dorner officiating.
Burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Menominee.
Thielen Funeral Home assisted the family.

Gabriel E. Mouford, 94, Carney, died Oct. 19, 2009, at Pinecrest Medical Care Facility, Powers.

He was born Jan. 23, 1915, in Dykesville, WI, to the late Emil and Selina (Ducat) Mouford.

He married Elaine LaFave June 30, 1945, in Spalding. She preceded him in death in 1980. He farmed and worked for the Stephenson Marketing in Nadeau. He was a member of St. Bruno's Catholic Church and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He is survived by one daughter, Marie (Neil) Pozaski, Milwaukee; two sons, Norbert and Stephen (Pauline), both of Carney, two grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, one great-grandchild and seven step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Flaum and three brothers, John, Orville and Henry.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Oct. 22 at 12 noon at St. Bruno's Catholic Church, Nadeau. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time. Father Michael Vichich will officiate.
Burial will be in Nadeau Township Cemetery.

Marie G. Bunting, 97, Menominee, died Oct. 12, 2009, at the Luther Home.

She was born in Harrison, MI, July 21, 1912, to the late Orlie and Pearl (Bailey) Stockwell.

Marie married Clarence Bunting in 1931 in Harrison. He preceded her in death in 1985. She worked for many years at Colt Industries, where she retired as the quality assurance supervisor. She enjoyed traveling, fishing and sewing.

She is survived by her son, Brian (Joanne) Bunting, Menominee; two grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, four step-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Clarence, she was preceded in death by her parents; infant daughter, Delores; one brother and five sisters.

Friends called at Lemieux-Thielen Funeral Home, Menominee Oct. 16, where funeral services were held with Reverend William Shepard officiating.
Burial was in Maple Grove Cemetery in Harrison.
Memorials in Marie's name to Bethel Lutheran Church would be appreciated.

Todd William Broberg, 47, died Oct. 14, 2009, at Bay Area Medical Center.

Born June 27, 1962, in Menominee, he was the son of Harold E. Broberg and Barbara Gwynn Geerlings.

Todd loved spending time outdoors and in the woods.

Todd is survived by his wife, Wong Broberg, Peshtigo; his parents, a daughter, Melissa A. (Nathan) Hahn, all of Menominee; three sisters, Tammy M. (Scott) Hartwig, Stacey K. (Keith) Polzin, both of Peshtigo; Tina J. Lesperance and a brother, Dale E. Broberg, both of Stephenson, MI, nieces and nephews.

Visitation and funeral were at Berth and Rosenthal Funeral Home. The Rev. Rod Efta officiated
