Elizabeth A. Vedra, 79, Marinette, died Oct. 30, 2009.

She was born Nov. 3, 1929, in Marinette, to the late John and Blanche (Holub) Mileski.
She was a 1946 graduate of Marinette High School and had worked at Wisconsin Bell and the Marinette Menominee Medical Clinic. She married Harley Jensen Oct. 16, 1948, in Marinette. He preceded her in death Sept. 23, 1978. She married Richard Vedra Aug. 21, 1983, in Marinette. She was a member of Holy Family Parish, Altar Society, Menominee American Legion  Auxiliary, BAMC Hospital Auxiliary and had volunteered to various organizations.
She loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband; son, Jeff (Robin) Jensen, New Franklin, WI; three daughters, Judy (Samuel) LaValley, Menominee, Joan (Pete) Aubry, De Pere, and Jackie (Tim) Chaltry, Green Bay; step-children, Nicci (Joe) Taerud, Lena, and Jon Vedra, Marinette, and six grandchildren.
In  addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harley; brother, John; and sister, Bernice Plautz.

Friends called at Holy Family Parish-Our Lady of Lourdes Church where funeral was held Nov. 3, with Rev. Joseph Dorner officiating.
Burial was in Forest Home Cemetery, Marinette.
A memorial fund has been established.
Thielen Funeral Home assisted the family.
 
Kevin Claude Truesdale PDF Print E-mail
Kevin Claude Truesdale, 46, Menominee, died Oct. 23, 2009, in Menominee.

He was born Aug. 9, 1963, in Marinette, to Ronald Truesdell and Shirley Ann Schmidt.
He served in the National Guard and he worked in construction. Kevin loved hunting and fishing and he enjoyed coin collecting.

He is survived by his son, Nathan; daughter, Megan and their mother, Karen Stromberg and his mother, Shirley, all of Menominee; three brother, Barry (Gracie) Truesdell, Peshtigo, Stuart Truesdell and David Truesdell, both of Menominee, uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Nathan Anthony Truesdell; and his step-father, August Schmidt.

Friends called at the Cadieu Funeral Home, where funeral services were held Oct. 30. Deacon Vincent Beckley officiated.
A memorial fund has been established in Kevin's name.
 
Iona (Onnie) Senske PDF Print E-mail
Iona (Onnie) Senske, 74, formerly of Stephenson, died Oct. 30, 2009, in Dodgeville, WI.

Iona Esther Ingeborg Anderson was born March 29, 1935, to the late August and Esther (Newlin) Anderson in Wallace. Onnie was a 1953 graduate of Stephenson High School. She attended Marinette Teachers College and graduated from Northern Michigan University in 1965 with a degree in elementary education. On Oct. 14, 1967, she married David Senske at the Bethel Mission Covenant Church in Wallace. She enjoyed music, playing her water glasses, teaching piano, and being the pianist at Bethel Mission Church. She enjoyed teaching and tutoring her students. Onnie loved spending time with family and grandchildren.

She is survived be her husband; son Brent (Heather) Senske, Oshkosh; twin daughters, Bethany (Scott) Kisting and Becky Senske both of Dodgeville, she was known as Peta to her six grandchildren; one sister, Pearl Clontz, Pembine; and one brother, Loren (Joyce) Anderson, Wallace.
She was preceded in death by four sisters, Iola, Myrtle, Nanny and Dorothy; three brothers, Earl, Robert and Floyd.

Visitation was held Nov. 2 at Anderson Diehm Funeral Home, Stephenson. Visitation continued Nov. 3 at Bethel Mission Covenant Church, Wallace, where funeral service was held. Reverends John Lindt and Kevin Kuhn officiated.
Burial was in Mellen Township Cemetery.
 
Elaine O. Olsen PDF Print E-mail
Elaine O. Olsen, 87, 1407 9th  Ave. S., Escanaba, died Oct. 31, 2009, at St. Francis Hospital following a brief illness.

Elaine was born in Escanaba Feb. 23, 1922, the daughter of Herman and Alice (Taylor) Erickson.
She graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1940 as valedictorian of her class and was a lifelong resident of Escanaba. She loved being with family and loved watching all sports, especially NCAA basketball, and watching Tiger Woods on the pro golf tour, going to the casino with her sister, doing crossword puzzles and working on her computer.  She was an avid Packer Fan and a big Brett Favre fan. When she was younger, she enjoyed hunting deer and walleye fishing. Elaine started her employment years with Schneider, Larche, Haapala, & Company. She later became the secretary for the operating engineers for over 20 years. She married Kenneth Olsen Dec. 2, 1946, at St. Patrick's in Escanaba. She was a member of St. Joseph and St. Patrick's Church.

She was survived by her husband; daughter, Laurie (Brat) Stupak, Menominee; one grandson; and sister, Lorraine Shiner, Escanaba.
She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Bart Stupak, Jr. (BJ); and brother, Ray Erickson.

Visitation will be held Nov. 4, from 5 to 7 p.m. (EST), at the Crawford Funeral Home, Escanaba. The funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. (EST) at the funeral home chapel with Rev. Eric Olson officiating.
Entombment will be in the Gardens of Rest Mausoleum.
The Crawford Funeral Homes are assisting the Olsen family with arrangements.
 
Anne M. Mays PDF Print E-mail
Anne M. Mays, 66, Peshtigo, died Oct. 27, 2009, in Green Bay.

She was born Sept. 30, 1943, to the late William and Clara (Williams) Ruleford in Marinette.
On Aug. 14, 1964, she married Robert Mays in Menominee. She had worked for the Oneida Tribe of Wisconsin for many years until retiring in 2007. Anne loved taking care of others. She helped to raise and nurture many children and was a mother to many. She was a member of the Green Bay Moose Lodge and enjoyed fishing, camping and traveling.

She is survived by her husband; a daughter, Barbara (Randy) Kluth, Green Bay; two grandchildren; five brothers, Richard Ruleford, Marinette, Ed Ruleford, Gwinn, Jim (Janet) Ruleford, Merritt Island, FL, Bill Ruleford, El Paso, TX, and Ted (Donna), Gwinn; two sisters, Evelyn VanHese, Menominee, and Linda (Ben) Stutleen, Peshtigo; foster daughter, Susan Werchek, nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Ronald and James; a brother, Leonard (Rita) Ruleford; and two sisters, Alice Hasse and Nancy Sorenson.

Visitation and funeral was held at Thielen Funeral Home. Funeral services were held there Oct. 31 with Rev. Warren Waddell officiating.
Burial was in Glenwood Memorial Gardens.
 
Ricky (Rick) Christopher King PDF Print E-mail
Ricky (Rick) Christopher King, born Sept. 29, 1959, to John King in Menominee. He died suddenly in his home in Eureka, CA, Oct. 17, 2009.

Rick's lifetime passion was fishing. He loved working with wood, glass and metal.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon and family in Michigan; father, John; brother, Tony (Rainie), sisters, Peggy, Becky (Brett), Melissa (Eric), Emily; Uncle Bob and Aunt June, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by grandparents, Joe and Mary King; sister, Kim; Uncle Bill and Aunt Marie.

There will be no services at Rick's request.
 
Marlene (Nelson) Hintermeyer PDF Print E-mail
Marlene (Nelson) Hintermeyer died Oct. 29, 2009, after a short illness.

Marlene Nelson was born March 29, 1934, in Stephenson, a daughter of Dorothy and Olin Nelson.
She was a member of Stephenson Methodist Church and a 1952 graduate of Stephenson High School.
She lived and worked in West Allis and Milwaukee. She was employed with the Veterans' Administration until retirement and then did part-time work for a medical company.

Surviving are one sister, Lois Nelson Cairns, Silver Spring, MD, a niece, Leslie Bork, Milwaukee; two nephews, James Cairns, Hawaii and Stephen Cairns, Maryland.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Dorothy Ann Nelson and Joann Grassel.

She was cremated.
A memorial will be held at a later date.
 
Debra Lynn Engler PDF Print E-mail
Debra Lynn Engler, 51, Menominee, died unexpectedly at home Oct. 30, 2009.

 She was born Nov. 19, 1957, in Crivitz, to the late Vernon Krause and Leatrice Lippack.
She graduated from Crivitz High School, Class of 1976. She married James Engler Sept. 23, 1995, in Crivitz. She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Menominee. She loved camping trips with her family, Nascar racing, playing pool and she was an avid Green Bay Packers fan.

She is survived by her husband and son, Patrick, both of Menominee; three step-children, Greg, Jeff and Amie Engler; her mother; a sister, Lori Krause; a brother, Grant (Bev) Krause, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father.

Funeral services were held at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Menominee Nov. 3. The Rev. Douglas Schoen officiated.
Burial was in Forest Home Cemetery in Crivitz.
A memorial fund has been established in Debra's name.
The Cadieu Funeral Home assisted the family.
 
Robert C. Beaudoin PDF Print E-mail
Robert C. Beaudoin, 70, Green Bay, died Oct. 28, 2009, at San Luis Medical & Rehab Center, Green Bay.

He was born Aug. 9, 1939, in Menominee, the son of the late Robert and Anna (Hoeffler) Beaudoin. He was a graduate of Stephenson High School with the Class of 1957. Robert pursued his education at Northern Michigan University, where he obtained his bachelor's degree in education. His love of teaching and education brought him to Green Bay, where he taught science at Franklin Middle School until his retirement in 1997. He also worked in real estate for more than 20 years. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed volunteering at the Green Bay Botanical Gardens. He also assisted at the Red Cross and for special events at the Wiedener Center.

He is survived by his wife, Sophie; two daughters, Camie (Christopher) Goffi, Bethlehem, PA, Susan (Colin) Fair, St. Michael, MN; two step-sons, Lyle Pace, Orlando, FL, Tim (Lynn) Pace, Phoenix, AZ, five grandchildren, one great-granddaughter; two sisters, Barbara Holbert, Port Ritchie, FL, Carole (Jim) Welte, Menominee, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by one brother-in-law, Larry Holbert.

Gathering of family and friends was held at St. Elizabeth Seton Parish, 2771 Oakwood Drive, Green Bay. Mass of Christian Burial was held Nov. 2 at the church with Rev. John Van Deuren officiating.

Darcella Rose Anderla, 87, Carney, died Oct. 29, 2009, at Pinecrest Medical Care Facility in Powers.

Darcella Mayer was born June 28, 1922, in Menominee, to the late Nickolas and Rose (Brix) Mayer. She graduated from Menominee High School Class of 1940. On May 25, 1946, she married Leo Anderla in Menominee. He preceded her in death March 10, 1990. She enjoyed bowling, ice skating, walking, bicycling and skiing. She also enjoyed playing cards and rolling dice. She loved being a grandmother and great-grandmother most. Darcella was a member of St. Bruno's Catholic Church where she was active in St. Anne's Sodality, and was also a member of the West Bagley Homemakers.

She is survived by three daughters, Kathy (Bob) Horning, Black Creek, WI, Sue (Roger) Papesh, Shiocton, WI, and Janet (Dennis Gramm) Anderla, AuTrain, WI; two sons, Pete (Karen), Hermansville, and Greg (Mary), Wisconsin Dells, 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter.

Family and friends gathered at Anderson Diehm Funeral Home, Stephenson. Funeral Mass was held Nov. 2 at St. Bruno's Catholic Church. Father Emmett Norden officiated.
Burial was in Nadeau Township Cemetery.

A memorial fund has been established in Darcella's name for the Salvation Army.
